Saxdor calls the 400 GTS an open walkaround, and the label is a plain description rather than a slogan. The deck is open and can be walked right around; the helm sits behind a glass shield instead of inside a cabin; and the side terraces fold out to widen the deck when the boat is stopped. Seating is modular and the sunbeds convert, so the same platform can be arranged for a fast run down the coast in the morning and a long afternoon at anchor after it.

GTS, GTO or GTC: one platform, three boats

Every Saxdor 400 shares the same platform — 12.4 metres of length, 3.55 metres of beam, the twin-stepped 21-degree hull, vacuum-infused GRP. The differences sit above the waterline.

  • 400 GTS — the open walkaround coming to Perth: glass-shielded helm, folding side terraces, up to 850 horsepower, up to 50 knots. The most open of the three and the quickest on the builder’s figures.
  • 400 GTO — an open wheelhouse to full beam with fold-out side terraces, a push-button sunroof, a convertible stern sunbed and joystick docking. Twin outboards from 700 to 850 horsepower; 35 to 45 knots. At the time of writing the GTO is priced on application.
  • 400 GTC — the enclosed one: a wheelhouse across the boat’s entire width with insulated glazing, panoramic glass doors, electric sunroofs and drop-down side terraces. Twin outboards from 700 to 850 horsepower; 35 to 45 knots; 1,000 litres of fuel to the GTS’s 900.

Read that way, the choice is less about the boat than about the weather you plan to use it in. The GTS trades enclosure for openness and the highest top speed; the GTC trades some pace for a fully enclosed wheelhouse; the GTO splits the difference. The brand behind it: designed in Finland, built in Poland

Saxdor is a young company with an experienced hand at the drawing board. It was created in 2019 by Sakari Mattila, whose earlier brands include Axopar and XO Boats, and its boats are designed in Finland and built in Poland. In March 2026 the company became a subsidiary of Malibu Boats, with Mattila staying on as Head Designer. At the time of writing the range spans roughly 20 to 46 feet — about 11 models across the 200, 270, 320, 340, 400 and 460 series — with WA pricing that starts at about A$119,990 for the Saxdor 205.

One point matters specifically for an outboard boat. The 400 GTS runs Mercury engines, and MYA operates its own Mercury service department staffed by Mercury-specialist technicians, handling warranty work on Mercury engines supplied new with the boats it sells. Show practicalities: dates, hours and tickets

The Perth Boat Show 2026 fills Pavilions 1 to 6 of the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre with more than 80 exhibitors from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September. Doors open at 9.30am each day and close at 7.00pm on Friday and 5.00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday 6 September is Father’s Day. A ticket covers entry, the stage demonstrations and the entertainment as well as the exhibitors, and Little Nippers Cove runs free kids’ activities on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
